Skills of an Employee

An employer or HR have many corporate expectation from the employees. They seek the best skillful employee for their company. So an employee must needs some skills which will take him ahead. There are two kinds of skill that an employee have. One is hard skill which can be learned by many organization and the other one is soft skill which is learned by birth.

The HR manager of Hotel Holiday Inn sees:

Communication Skill: An employee needs to communicate with many people and client. So to be hired in a company the employee must needs to communicate with senior and client politely. Even the employee needs to know foreign language. Also needs to talk fluently in English.

Good body language: An employee should behave politely and should have good body language. He/she should respect the senior.

Teamwork: An employee needs to work with a team. So he/she must need to cooperate with his team and try to take ahead his/her team. In the mentioned industries teamwork is the most important.

Time management: Managing time is a good virtue for all. Every employee should work time to time. The owner will see if the employee can manage time perfectly or not.  It will take the employee to the apex of success.

Ability to work under pressure: In the mentioned hotel above, most of the time goes rush hour. In peak season the guest amount increases so the employees has to face many pressure on that time. Other time is also goes by a busy schedule of a hotel employees. So the employees need the ability to work under pressure.

Good leading skill: There are many team in the Hotel Holiday Inn. Such as housekeeping team, chef team, maintenance team etc. Every team has a leader. So an employee needs to lead his team and take the team ahead.

Self-motive: An employee needs to be self-motive. There are many obstacle may have come. But he cannot go depressed. He/she needs to try harder and motive his team as well as himself also.

Creative: An employee needs to be creative and think from many ways. He needs to think many ideas by which the company will get benefitted.

Technological skill: This is the age of technology. In this modern time technology has made everything easier. An employee of hotel industries needs to have technological skill. This will help his job easier, faster and professional. The Holiday Inn employees need to have knowledge about operating computer, air-cooler, washing machine and other technical device.

Client handling: There are many guest comes in Hotel Holiday Inn. The guests needs help, they needs to know information and support. So the employer expects to handle client by certain employees.
