Different Stages of the HR Life Cycle Applied to a Specific Hospitality Job Role

Like other parts of our life events there is also a life circle in our professional life which is called HR life cycle. It starts from attraction to separation. The circle is ongoing. There are seven stagers in a HR life cycle. Below they are described:

Attraction

It is the first step of human resource life cycle. To get new employees 1st task is to attract them to the company. Giving an attractive amount of salary, and other extra facilities can attract people to join as employee in a company

Recruitment

After attracting employees certain number of applicant will be chosen, who have the ability to work as an employee in the certain post. The human resource manager will able to know during interview that who is the best person for the post.

Onboarding

By onboarding the employees can understand the company. They will be introduced with the company & company’s privacy and policy. They will be able to know the rules and regulations of the company.

Enablement

At this stage the employees are being introduced with company’s new mission, vision & values. Human resource managers will need to be guide the new employee through paper work. The managers need to ensure that the new employee get all the tools and materials they need for work.

Development

At this stage the employee needs training to develop their career. Career developing projects should arrange and make sure that the employees are attending them. Career developing opportunities are important to keep an employee to the company for the long period of time.

Retention

To re-energize the stuff this stage is very valuable. Many offers, opportunities, facilities should give to the employees to make them re-energize. The HR manager should thank them for their hard work. Praise them. And give gift cards to them to make them more active. The HR manager needs to arrange picnic for the refreshment to work.

Separation

This is the stage where the employees leaves the company by retirement or other reason. The company and the manager should pay the employees pending salary. If there is a company policy to take an exit interview the company should take that properly. And then smoothly remove the employee from the company.
